Chriscan is pleased and proud to celebrate ten years with three of our key team members: Karen Loutit, Jim Kitchin, and Lee Regimbald! We interviewed Karen, Jim, and Lee about their experiences at Chriscan so far. Check it out!
Karen Loutit
Q. Why did you initially want to work at Chriscan?
A. I wanted to work for a smaller, family owned business and I have always been interested in home building and design.
Q. What has kept you at Chriscan for 10+ years?
A. The owners are great people to work for. I like that my job involves a wide variety of tasks and even though I rarely leave the office, I share in the pride of building beautiful homes and offices.
Q. What is your best Chriscan memory so far?
A. When I joined the company, Chriscan was just starting to build a large custom home on the lake. For almost 2 years, I processed the paperwork for the house and observed the whirlwind of activity and the constant communication between the home owner and our project manager as they made a million decisions and choices. My best memory is when the house was completed and I walked through it just before it was turned over to the owner. I looked around and saw how all the hard work and amazing craftsmanship had come together to create this amazing home for the family. I loved being part of that.
Jim Kitchin
Q. Why did you initially want to work at Chriscan?
A. Chriscan construction initially appealed to me because I wanted to have the opportunity to learn from a general contractor that had a high regard for quality of work and attention to detail. This was an important trait to me as a young apprentice.
Q. What has kept you at Chriscan for 10+ years?
A. Chriscan has a unique team building atmosphere where everyone works together with the same “Can Do” attitude.
Q. What is your best Chriscan memory so far?
A. My most enjoyable Chriscan memory to date is completing my first project as a supervisor and having a chance to see the enjoyment in the clients as the moved into their new home.
Q. Any additional comments?
A. Wow! I cannot believe it has been 10 years already. Looking forward for many more to come.
Lee Regimbald
Q. Why did you initially want to work at Chriscan?
A. Ten years ago I was looking for a company to work for that would allow me to gain more experience, and grow as a young adult.
Q. What has kept you at Chriscan for 10+ years?
A. I’ve been with Chriscan for the last ten years because, not only do I get the opportunity to learn and get better but I am treated as a professional and with respect. Chriscan has taught me the skills to run jobs, organize trades and manage multiple projects. They have given me the support and confidence to tackle any construction project.
Q. What is your best Chriscan memory so far?
A. There have been a lot of good memories so far… Like the day I received my journeyman ticket, or just the satisfying feeling you get when you build someone’s dream project and they love it.
Q. Any additional comments:
A. It’s been a great ten years and I am very happy where I am.
